Last Day of As the World Turns

This is a monumental day for my coworkers, me, and millions of As the World Turns fans. I thought the CBS affiliate here in Atlanta might also have some interest in talking to someone who lives here, and has written for the show for 13 years, and has four Emmys.

Not so much.

However, my local newspaper didn’t let me down. So here’s a shout out to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for acknowledging the passing of our legendary show.

Also, a nod to WSB-TV, the ABC affiliate here in Atlanta (WSB partners with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on the Access Atlanta website). A small part of my personal history: This was my birthday week, and for my tenth birthday, I was on the Officer Don show at WSB-TV. That was my first TV appearance, and might be part of the reason I chose to spend my career behind the scenes. I was older than the other kids, and pudgy and – I digress.

Here’s the link for the article: Access Atlanta.

Thanks so much to reporter George Mathis (who isn’t even a soap fan, but called me anyway). All of us who have been fans and put our hearts and souls into this show really appreciate the coverage.
