Kate Martineau AdamsAfter earning a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kate Martineau Adams went on to produce the top-rated weekend newscast in the Raleigh-Durham television market.

From there, she decided to make the move to New York where she initially worked as a corporate event coordinator assisting on projects such as the GLAAD Media Awards, James Beard Awards, and a series of IBM events across the southeastern United States and Europe.

Finding that she enjoyed aspects of her job that dealt with agents, management, and talent, Kate soon found position in the New York casting office of Warner Bros. Television Studios. As the casting coordinator, she worked on more than 20 television pilots as well as established studio shows like ER, The West Wing, and Witchblade.

Kate moved to As the World Turns in August, 2002. For almost 8 years, Kate was the Assistant Casting Director, passing all background actors, and assisting in the casting of under-five’s, day players and contract roles. During this time she also taught audition seminars and courses for several studios in New York City.

With As the World Turns behind her, Kate has moved back South, and is looking to embark on a new career. She has a husband and two beautiful children.
